Under the Rainbow 41.5" x 57.5"
Under the Rainbow was made in the Spring of 2007 by scanning tiny fragments of paintings into the computer and manipulating and collaging them in Photoshop. I went through over thirty iterations before finalizing the design. Five panels were printed from my computer and assembled along with a border hand dyed to extend the colors from the central design. I enhanced parts of the design with Prismacolor pencils and heavily machine quilted a wide variety of motifs. Under the Rainbow was awarded First Place in the Digital Imagery category at the 2007 International Quilt Association Show in Houston, and Second Place at the 2008 American Quilter's Society Show in Paducah, Kentucky.
