Grotto - 42" x 53"
Grotto was started in 2002 and completed in 2005. It was made by scanning tiny fragments of a painting into the computer, and manipulating and collaging them in Corel PhotoPaint and CorelDraw. Nine panels were printed from my computer, and assembled, along with the hand dyed border and binding. I enhanced parts of the design with Prismacolor pencils. This quilt is featured in the book Innovative Fabric Imagery for Quilts and won First Place in the exhibit of quilts from the book.
